Natural Health and Wellness Seminars with Danna and Kalon Gesellchen
Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the incredible opportunity to connect with communities across northern Alberta through a series of events focused on natural healing, personal preparedness, and practical wellness. We’re so grateful to each of you who showed up, participated, asked questions, and engaged with curiosity and courage.
Here’s a quick look back at our most recent events:
Parasites in Humans: Natural Ways to Eliminate Them
This eye-opening session dove into the often-overlooked topic of parasites in the human body. Attendees learned how to recognize the subtle (and not-so-subtle) symptoms of parasitic overload, and how natural remedies—through herbs, diet, and lifestyle changes—can help detox and restore internal balance. We were inspired by the thoughtful questions and personal stories shared by those in attendance.
Gallstones: How to Naturally Remove Gallstones
This workshop tackled the causes and natural treatments for gallstones, empowering attendees with tools for supporting liver and gallbladder health through diet and non-invasive detox methods. It was a powerful reminder that healing can often start with small, consistent choices. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a warm and open environment.
Wilderness Workshop: Survival Skills in Nature
What an amazing afternoon outdoors! From fire-starting without matches to identifying edible and medicinal plants, participants got hands-on experience in critical wilderness skills. We also explored charcoal making, emergency shelter knots, and self-reliance in nature. It was wonderful to see families and individuals of all ages stepping out of their comfort zones and learning together in the wild.
Plant-Based Cooking Class
Thank you to everyone who attended our “Plant-Based Cooking Class – Lunch” on May 25, 2025!
We had a fantastic time together in an interactive setting where everyone enjoyed the presentations, a variety of guest speakers, tasty and simple recipes, and of course, food sampling. It was wonderful to see such a great response and a large, engaged group. Your enthusiasm made the event truly special, and we look forward to welcoming you again at future sessions!
Backyard Gardening Class
Thank you to everyone who participated in our backyard gardening class on May 11, 2025 in Peace River! A special thanks to Fern’s Greenhouse for the beautiful hanging flower basket donated as a door prize.
In this class, we covered a range of topics, from choosing and preparing the right spot for your garden, to soil preparation, and knowing when and what to seed. We also shared practical, hands-on tips for planting and transplanting.
We hope you left feeling inspired and ready to grow your own garden. Happy gardening!
Depression Recovery Program
The Depression Recovery Program has officially wrapped up, marking the successful end of this session.
Throughout the program, participants gained helpful insights and practical strategies to manage and overcome depression. Dr. Ray Hetland and Dr. Neil Nedley shared useful tools to improve brain function and avoid depression.
A big thank you to everyone who attended! Your participation and openness created a supportive, welcoming environment for all. We hope the knowledge and skills learned will continue to help you long after the program ends. Thanks for being part of this experience.
